Meet Our Hosts
Andy Meakin
Born and raised in Liverpool before moving to Sheffield to study, Andy has always loved films and the process of how they are made. In 2001 he launched his first film-based website, and also began working in his dream job – that of a cinema manager!
It wasn’t long before he became a co-host on a local Sheffield radio show, The FilmFile, which led to further appearances on other shows and writing for a variety of websites.
Now, as co-host of The FilmFile with fellow film fan and buddy, Lee Ford, Andy forms the heart of the show, his passion for the film industry is the basis for the news, reviews, and ideas each week.
Lee Ford
Lee Ford is an award-winning Film and Music Video Director and his forthcoming, highly-anticipated Def Leppard World Tour Documentary will be seen on Netflix this year.
This continues his A-List rock and big stadium film making for names such as Journey, Alice Cooper, KISS, and Cheap Trick to name but a few. Lee has also written a number of screenplays and has various US film projects currently in development.
Lee is known as the film maker’s filmmaker, and it is this passion and knowledge that is the essence of The Film File.
